Synthesis of Tebuconazole Technical:

The current tebuconazole process mainly consists of the following processes:

1) Synthesis of 4,4-Dimethyl-1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-pentanone (“pentanone” for short) through pinacolone and p-chlorobenzaldehyde

2) Cyclization of pentanone to obtain ethylene oxide derivatives;

3) Tebuconazole is obtained from ethylene oxide derivatives and triazole.

In the above reaction process, pentanone is a core intermediate. At present, some companies rely on outsourcing.
